I need help to extend range of a Ford Escape Control OEM remote keyless entry.?

I have a Ford Escape 2001, the transmitter has a range of about 20-30 feet for most of the time. I would boost that by a little. I would also like to know where the RKE antenna is in the vehicle, and how to access and identification. Thanks in advance!

Keep the remote control to the chin when it explodes ... turns his body into an antenna more wide ... not much but usually better. A type of electronics geek might be able to change the remote to pop over for a ranking or aftermarket unit that works on RF signals ... 1000 foot range on mine.
