Garage Door Opener Adjustment
garage door opener adjustment
Garage door hits tram stop and get stuck. Can I fix it?
My 10yr old house has a section aluminum door and a Craftsman 1/2HP garage door opener. Recently opened all the way until the car hit the bolt that keeps going further. Once you "beat to "the first party to stay there. When you disconnect the door seemed to open and close at hand without problems. I decided to unbolt the chain of car to allow the opener to move again, reconnect the chain with some slack and give it a shot. I had to adjust a screw to keep the door closed after it hit bottom, but opens and closes very well for a couple of times. Then repeat the same theme and the first game and the car re-auctioned. This is a simple screw adjustment I can fix that problem? Some simple playing the 4 screws and my minimal knowledge did not get very far.
screws that were playing with probably the limit screw, saying that the engine when the door is all the way open or closed. run along with the engine via a small gear and the worm, this gear or worm may be exhausted and that is why we are experiencing incompatibility. A visual check can verify this and a replacement part may be available. to verify that disconnect power and remove the cover, you will find a pair of small gears running in an exceptional fatty white nylon threaded shaft two inches long. if they are damaged can be the problem. if it can not be just a problem of adjustment. You'll want to start with what the board adjustment to the door does not go all the way up or down and then gradually bring them back a little at a time, trying the door again and again until the engine stops when the luck it should. good
