Additional requirements for garage doors. Should I buy one and program it?

I'm moving into an apt and the owner only gives you for doors garage, but I need another starter for the other roommate. How can I do this? Just bought a can opener and program for the door system ... and how do I do that. Thanks

Look at the opening of the garage door of the brand and model number. Some old doors had a code to manually program in the opener, the newer ones require you to press a program button on the opener, and then do something (if it depends on the mark) to each remote control program. Normally the schedule information can be found in the manufacturer's website. You can buy the remote control in a store that sells that make the opener, or apply online.
