Ahhh math help please!?

5. A company produces and sells mini-recorders. A survey of office supply stores at a price said $ 88 each, the demand for recorders would be 4 hundred, and at a price of $ 28 each, the demand would be 14 hundred burners. They give you a couple of points: (4.88) and (14.28). Since the relationship is assumed to be linear, the slope of the line is m = (28 - 88) / (14-4) m = -60/10 = - 6 taking any of the two given points, the equation is -6 = (Y - 28) / (x - 14) Simplify, -6 (x - 14) y =-28-6x + 84 = y - 28 Solving for "y", y =- 6x + 112 (Option D) . NOTE: Personally, I there is something wrong with the representation of variables in this problem. I think that the dependent variable here should be "demand" and that the independent variable here should be the "price". As presented, the independent variable is the "demand", while the dependent variable is the "price". In the real business world, the price is usually the independent variable and the demand is a function of price. But since it is a math problem, I think the question more important here is to be able to analyze and figure out how to derive linear relationships. Have a nice day.
