A multicode or linear garage door opener work the same?
I'm going to buy control of the garage door remote and I have been looking to have 10, 9 or 8 DIP switches. The one I use now has 10 DIP switches. Does it matter? Would a 8 or 9 work? The names of these are generally Multicode (10 switches) or linear (8-9 switches).
Each uses a different frequency and digital protocols are different. Just as you cross. the receiver in the garage. If you are integrated into the engine (Stanley) as GDO brand and model and I can tell you what to buy. Transactions "universal". also work. Read the package before buying. Linear 310 MHz to 300 MHz Multi, at least the majority.
