Noise-garage door torsion spring?
My garage door is so strong when it opens and closes. I have a torsion spring and a screw genius trawl opener. In the owners manual for the opener, said that if you pull the string on the arm (so you can open and close the door manually) and lift the cover up to half and kept open, the spring is good, but if it closes, spring is not pressed properly. Course of the mine closes. If I tighten the spring, will not be the door to be so strong? I keep telling my dad and he's like a garage door is not so important. I think it's important and I'm always scared the first game of the door the garage is broken by the extra weight. Spring to push the noise goes away?
there are actually two problems here. a torsion spring that keeps the door should be adjusted. Be careful. this is not a lot of work to do so at their selfers. unbalanced door cause undue stress on can opener and can cause problems noise. more often, simply shorten the life of the parts, if any, transport. the most likely cause of the noise is the first game itself. spindle are known by sounding like a freight train. try some silicone spray or oil on the screw, preferably while it is spinning. DO NOT use WD40, it is a terrible lubricant. probably noise is reduced somewhat, but will return. once they become noise, the damage is done. steel screw eats the aluminum case creates additional space which allows the screw to rattle back and forth. keep all will be well lubricated. If you would consider calling a company to adjust the door spring and lubricating the first party to pay about $ 80 or less, depending on where you live. probably money well spent.
